The adventures of a South Asian girl co-created with school children and elderly South Asian women
Taking inspiration from Middle Eastern stories like 1001 Nights heroine Sherezaade or South Asian animal fables like Panchtantra, Ben-Azeera Lela will be working with Key stage 2 schools and libraries to enhance writing skills in young people.
An exhibition coinciding with the 70 years of Pakistan and India’s independence. It captures the aspirations, sacrifices and legacies of women of this period and recreates the fashion with a new generation.
A solo journey through a maze filled with artistic and digital interventions. Visioned by artist Ben-Azeera Lela, this performance installation was developed through school workshops.
